Turbocharged 2004 Pontiac GTO - What a Drag!
The front fascia was produced by RMR Drift, while the stock hood was altered to fit a Summit cowl by Van's Auto Body in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Both pieces were sprayed with three coats of RM DP20 acrylic primer. Dave Beaker of Van's says, "The sanding started at 150 grit to knock it down. In the end, we cleaned it up with 400, then 600." The stock color, Phantom Black, was sprayed on in four coats and wet-sanded with 1,500-, then 2,000-grit paper. Four coats RM's Diamont clear followed with wet-sanding of 1,500- and 2,000-grit before final polishing. Now this '04 GTO looks fast without even moving. But when it does, you're looking at 60-foot times of 1.40. View Related Article
